I am grinning to myself now as I am reading Keron’s latest post, as always. I am sitting opposite her right now in the lobby of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Nette has just run off with her foolscap pad and some notes, I hope it’s not to kill herself or something. Keron looks really really vexed, like all the times at SPH where she was rushing her articles while I stayed back with her and surfed the net... Hehe don’t ask me why I stayed back with her.
Studying in libraries is indeed crazy. Usually after a while the books start whispering to me and I soon hear a cacophony of different voices all calling out to me, imploring me to touch them, to feel them... Browsing through books idly is fun =) You never know whether the next book you pull out of the shelf is a gem.
Keron complains that “no random pretty boy ever says bye” to her. How about meeee then!!!! And I never see you with your weird specs. No fair!
i watched all the people studying today in the library. they were all young, all fresh, with the bloom of youth and vigour stamped on their visages that were locked behind books and laptops and notes. we're letting our years drift away and no one seems to care.Keron just gave me inspiration for another story idea!!! =)
I need to catch the bus in about five minutes’ time. Sigh. Wish I could stay longer and accompany you both. You two look as if you are having the lifeblood sucked out of you. It’s true! We are having all our youth and vigour sucked out of us! I haven’t watched a movie at the cinema since I came back from the US, I think, last year. Or been to a museum, other than the ones at Melaka. By the way I’m thinking of doing my thesis on Melaka museums! This is quite random but I think it’s going to be really cool!
Ok, gotta scoot now! Thanks for the squirt of water in the face today Nette! It was really refreshing.
BTC is actually a very nice and peaceful place.
